Plumber Commercial Plumbing (Schools Project)

This role oversees and performs basic commercial plumbing work on school construction projects in Lone Tree and Broomfield. You will install and connect copper and cast iron piping systems, coordinate daily tasks on site, and ensure work meets safety and quality standards within a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and assemble copper and cast iron pipes on commercial school projects using propress and other approved methods.
  • Thread pipe and install control valves in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints and layouts to ensure accurate placement of piping and related components.
  • Perform basic plumbing tasks such as layout, installation, and underground work as needed on the job site.
  • Use propress tools safely and correctly to connect piping systems.
  • Coordinate daily work activities with other trades and site personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and use personal plumbing tools and equipment in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow all site safety rules, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as vest, hard hat, gloves, boots, and safety glasses.
  • Support timely completion of the one-month project by working scheduled hours and adapting to changing site needs.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working on commercial plumbing projects.
  • Hands-on experience with propress systems for connecting piping.
  • Experience installing and working with copper pipe.
  • Experience installing and working with cast iron pipe.
  • Experience threading pipe and installing control valves.
  • Ability to perform basic construction and plumbing tasks on active job sites.
  • Ability to read and follow directions for plumbing layouts and installations.
  • Capability to work safely with plumbing tools and equipment on a construction site.
  • Ownership of basic plumbing hand tools required for daily tasks.
  • Ability to consistently work Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Blueprint reading and layout experience is a plus.
  • Soldering experience is a plus.
  • Experience with underground plumbing work is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with construction environments, including coordination with other trades.
  • No active DORA registration is required for this role.

Work Environment:

This is a one-month commercial construction project at school sites in Lone Tree and Broomfield, scheduled through June. The standard work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Work takes place on active construction sites, involving installation of copper and cast iron piping, threading pipe, and using propress tools in both aboveground and underground settings. You will use your own basic plumbing tools, while all specialty tools are provided on site. The environment requires consistent adherence to safety practices, including wearing a vest, type 1 hard hat, gloves, work boots, and safety glasses at all times while on the job.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Broomfield, CO.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
