The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit and for the day‑to‑day management and supervision of the related clinical activities. The Nurse is responsible for supervising and responsibly directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing personnel utilizing both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment. Uses the nursing skills of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in their patient care delivery. The primary function is the delivery of competent, compassionate, and cost‑effective nursing care. Schedule Full Time. Days, 4x10s 0900‑1930 with on call requirements. Location 2525 S Downing St, Denver, Colorado 80210 Benefits and Compensation Flexible contract assignments available Travel directly with AdventHealth, no 3rd party agency involved We will assist to extend you at the same facility or find another assignment within our system Easily convert over to permanent staff member if interested Competitive Premium Pay Rate Pay Range: $15.00 - $130.00 Responsibilities Demonstrates effective assessment skills to ensure quality patient care is provided. Performs and documents accurate initial assessment per unit standard. Observes and monitors patient lab work for trends and reports abnormal lab tests. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. [Required] Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows based programs. [Required] Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills). [Required] Education Associate's of Nursing [Required] Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] Work Experience 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. [Required] Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN). [Required] Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS). [Required] Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). [Required] NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS). [Required] Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC).
