Description
- Conduct evaluations for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, creating personalized treatment strategies
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
- Collaborate efficiently with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation specialists to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and at-home exercises
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure synchronized delivery of care
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution
Certifications
- State licensure as a Physical Rehabilitation Specialist
- CPR certification is preferred
- Specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are advantageous but not required
Skills
- Previous experience is highly preferred
- Adept at treating patients experiencing complex medical and mobility challenges
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Experienced with digital charting and clinical documentation systems
