Work Environment

As a Pediatric Physical Therapist at Suncrest Physical Therapy, you will predominantly provide onsite services within a home care setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients' physical requirements through age-appropriate testing and observational techniques, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective therapy plans.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that target improvements in motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility tailored to each child's unique needs.

• Collaborate closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to promote cohesive treatment approaches and monitor each child's progress towards their therapeutic goals.

• Provide ongoing education to families and caregivers, equipping them with knowledge about exercises and activities that can be performed at home to reinforce therapy outcomes.

• Maintain meticulous records of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress, while regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on individual patient response and development.

• Stay abreast of the latest innovations and research in pediatric physical therapy to integrate best practices into daily care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be providing specialized care to children facing a variety of physical challenges including, but not limited to, developmental delays, strength and mobility impairments, and neurological disorders. Each child is unique, requiring a customized approach that respects their individual circumstances and promotes optimal recovery. The relationships you build with patients and their families will play a crucial role in fostering trust and encouraging progress throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada is required.

• Basic CPR and First Aid certification is necessary for this role.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric physical therapy is preferred, helping ensure you can effectively navigate the complexity of children's therapy needs.

Compensation and Benefits
