Description: BLOCK 1ST TIMERS OK - ER RN Position will not float between units. No on-call required. Weekends are required as needed. Block schedules are required. Expected patient ratios are 1:4. 48 hours approval is not permitted. Type of facility is Short Term Acute Care. Total staff beds available are 108. Scrub color is any color; scrubs are provided for designated areas. Charting system utilized is Epic. Travelers must have a vehicle for the assignment. Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is variable. Unit has a total of 22 rooms and 26 beds. Patient diagnoses include trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatrics, behavioral health, and typical emergency department complaints. Special procedures may involve critical drips, phlebotomy, IVs, and EKGs. Special equipment includes Alaris pumps, Zoll defibrillators, and Phillips monitors. Travelers may be expected to float between similar facilities nearby. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. Candidates will be required to provide two references covering one year of experience within the last three years. This position requires the completion of mandatory modules, which are non-billable. Modules must be completed pre-start, and annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported. Completion is recorded in training transcripts. Inflexibility regarding the contracted schedule may lead to termination of the contract. Successful candidates will be informed after a thorough evaluation.
