Role snapshot

Own the flow and quality of our engineer-to-order electrical assemblies. You’ll be the go-to trainer for the ETO electrical team, the calm in the storm when a fault appears, and the connector who aligns Production, Supervision, and partner departments to meet delivery goals.

Impact you’ll make

• Build and lead: perform panel wiring and component installation to spec while guiding the team and upholding electrical codes and standards.
• Standardize the day: manage task rotations and lead daily Gemba board conversations that clarify priorities and surface improvements.
• Deliver reliably: coordinate with the Supervisor, Production Manager, team leaders, and individual cells to protect on-time delivery.
• Level up talent: act as primary trainer; identify skill gaps and tailor coaching plans for each assembler.
• Unblock fast: troubleshoot electrical issues to restore safety, quality, and throughput.
• Model 5S: keep the team aligned to daily and weekly 5S expectations.
• Flex capacity: expedite hot orders and support other departments as workloads shift.
• Work safely: lead by example to maintain an incident-free workplace.
• Collaborate on-site: partner with Facilities on in-house wiring and electrical projects.
• Pitch in broadly: take on related duties, including assisting mechanical departments when needed.

What sets you up for success

• Fluency with electrical tools—power, test, and hand tools—and the discipline to use them safely.
• Comfort interpreting schematics, electrical prints, and mechanical blueprints.
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude; understanding of high/low voltage wiring and gate logic.
• ESD-safe work habits and knowledge of proper handling.
• Clear communication, team leadership, and the ability to coach.
• Creative problem-solving for ambiguous challenges; strong organization and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.

Minimum qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Card + 3+ years of experience, or 10+ years as an industrial electrician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous lead experience preferred.
• Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
• SolidWorks and FactoryTalk exposure is a plus.
• Physically capable of safely lifting/lowering/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs.; able to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, varied environments).

Internal candidacy criteria

• Eligible to proceed: candidates with two (2) or fewer “Inconsistent” ratings on their most recent performance review.
• Not eligible: candidates with three (3) or more “Inconsistent” ratings, any “Unsatisfactory” rating, more than one (1) documented written warning in the past 12 months, or a final attendance warning.
