Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading logistics and freight handling organization, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting freight handling and dock activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: North Reading, MA

Pay Range: $22

Shift: 4:30pm to 9:30pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Load and unload trailers safely using forklifts or manual pallet jacks
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, stack, and stage freight efficiently
• Adhere to all safety protocols, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, and maintain a clean work area
• Process and palletize damaged freight and manage Bill of Lading (BOL) for daily deliveries
• Work in a fast-paced environment, often involving continuous, uninterrupted work for 7-9 hours, sometimes requiring long shifts (up to 11+ hours)

What's Needed?

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Ability to read and write in English
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to safety
• Ability to handle physical labor, including lifting and moving freight
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
