Incident Commander

Commanding high-severity incidents in a remote capacity, the full-time Incident Operations Commander will direct cross-functional responses to restore service swiftly while ensuring effective communication and follow-up actions are in place. Key responsibilities Command incidents from declaration to mitigation, keeping responders focused on minimizing customer impact Classify incident severity and engage the appropriate teams quickly to address issues effectively Maintain a clear timeline of events during incidents and ensure a blameless retrospective is scheduled post-incident Required qualifications 4+ years of experience in commanding high-severity incidents within production engineering, SRE, or technical operations Proven ability to make and defend escalation decisions under pressure Experience in reading dashboards to assess incident impact accurately Strong communication skills with the ability to engage engineers, executives, and stakeholders effectively Familiarity with FinTech concepts and API-driven financial platforms Virtual Vocations Inc
