Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an energetic & outgoing DSP who is compassionate and would provide exceptional care and ensure the safety and well-being of an outgoing young lady in her home and community. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to helping with personal cares as well as doing fun things at home and in the community. A few things about this wonderful individual is she likes to ask questions to learn, to meet new people, to talk to people, music therapy, thrift stores, spending time with family and friends, going to the library, going to the zoo, puzzles, reading, grocery shopping, vacations, doing new things and new environments!

Duties: - Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medication and monitor vital signs under the supervision of a nurse
- Implement individualized care plans and ensure resident rights are respected
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide companionship and engage individuals in recreational activities

Minimum Qualifications:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Compassion and a desire to help others
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a background check
• Valid US driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.

- Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care approach.

- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.

- 2-3 years of DSP experience required

- Please note that this position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Pay Frequency:

• Biweekly

Schedule: 7 on 7 off Asleep Overnight

Sunday 10pm-8am

Monday 10pm-8am

Tuesday 10pm-8am

Wednesday 10pm-8am

Thursday 10pm-8am

Friday 10pm-8am

Saturday 10pm-8am

Work Location: In person
