The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations is essential. Candidates should be proficient in performing cardiac stent placements and IABP placement and removal. Knowledge of Impella insertion and procedural sedation is required. The ability to monitor pulmonary artery lines, perform right and left heart catheterizations, and execute PCI is crucial. Additional skills required include familiarity with Rotablator atherectomy and scrub procedures in the cath lab. Experience with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications is necessary. Candidates should also be capable of managing IV vasopressors and administering thrombolytics. The position includes responsibilities for starting and maintaining IVs and conducting cardioversion procedures. Knowledge of infection prevention protocols and the interpretation of dysrhythmias is important. Candidates must adhere to isolation precautions and PPE guidelines. The ability to monitor procedural sedation and perform sheath removal and monitoring is essential. Upper-level knowledge of topical hemostasis techniques is required. The position involves some early and late shifts, and candidates should be flexible with floating and call requirements. This role is suitable for individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
