Transco Rail Services As a Field Operations Supervisor at Transco Rail Services, you will lead site-level operations, drive performance, and build high‑performing teams. What You’ll Do This role is responsible for overseeing daily railcar repair operations while leading a skilled workforce and ensuring alignment with customer expectations. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Previous supervisory or leadership experience Strong knowledge of safety practices and quality standards Ability to manage teams, schedules, and production prioritiesStrong communication and problem‑solving skills Experience working with KPIs, reporting, and operational metrics Preferred Bachelor’s Degree or some college Experience in railcar repair, manufacturing, or industrial environments Background in multi‑site or customer‑facing operations Experience with continuous improvement methodologies Supervisory Responsibility Directly manages site employees and daily operations Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and employee development Leads disciplinary actions and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies Work Environment Combination of field and office‑based work Regular time spent in a railcar repair facility environment Exposure to industrial conditions (noise, weather, equipment movement) Physical activity including walking, climbing, and light lifting May require extended hours based on operational needs Site Specific Details Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Shift: Primarily First Shift, 6:00am - 4:30pm Compensation: Base Salary: $75,000.00 Travel Requirements: 75% expectations, daily travel, potential for overnights Compensation & Benefits We know this role requires skill, flexibility, and commitment, and we compensate accordingly.
