Research Engineering/Scientist Associate III

Job Posting Title: Research Engineering/Scientist Associate III Hiring Department: Molecular Biosciences Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA Earliest Start Date: Immediately Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until May 27, 2027 Location: AUSTIN, TX Purpose Carry out research into biochemistry, synthetic biology, and protein and RNA engineering. Responsibilities Administration and project management of funded research programs. Schedule meetings, organize data, and prepare reports or other communications for the PI. Collaborate with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students on various projects. Train graduate students in NGS experimental protocols and analysis. Conduct general laboratory duties, including the ordering of supplies, tracking inventory, and overseeing the maintenance of basic laboratory equipment. Spearhead, perform, and troubleshoot human antibody research tasks, including the preparation, processing and bioinformatic analysis of B‑cell DNA libraries using NGS. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline with 4 years of relevant experience. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with cloning, mutagenesis, and protein expression. Salary Range

$55,000 + DOE
