• Location: Yakima, WA 98902
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 21 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Floating: Not required
• EMR: Epic
• Start Date: 08/24/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience in a large-volume, high-acuity environment
• Current Registered Nurse license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC
• Strong triage experience with the ability to pass a triage competency test
• Experience with barcode medication administration, medication drips, and blood product administration
• Comfort with trauma care, code response, splinting, BiPAP/vent support, and chest tube setup
• Solid understanding of ESI triage levels
• Epic experience required
• Pediatric emergency medicine experience preferred
• Point-of-care lab experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients from neonate through geriatric populations
• Manage high-acuity cases in a busy, zone-based Emergency Department
• Perform triage, clinical assessments, and rapid interventions for complex patient presentations
• Support trauma, stroke, cardiac, pediatric, behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases
• Assist with procedures including chest tube setup, art line support, and splinting
• Administer medications and blood products according to hospital protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to stabilize and transfer patients when needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow using Epic EMR
• Contribute to a team-focused environment with strong communication and adaptability
