Dispatcher

This position monitors, dispatches, and balances work orders for field personnel. The role involves responding to information requests and facilitating communication between customer service representatives and field staff. This function supports daily and emergency operations by managing and coordinating operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer telephones and perform call-ahead requests for field technicians.
• Receive and dispatch non-emergency work orders to support daily and emergency operations.
• Dispatch orders using a Mobile Data and Dispatching Solution.
• Monitor, route, and document work orders for service technicians and review backlogged work orders.
• Coordinate daily operational requirements between internal and external stakeholders.
• Resolve scheduling concerns among the call center, customers, and supervision.
• Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and governmental agencies during emergency situations.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Requires one year of experience with SAP or a mobile data dispatching system and at least one year of experience in or supporting gas distribution operations or at least one year of equivalent dispatching experience.

Work Schedule:

This role requires working three 10-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift per week. The assigned shift will remain consistent, and it includes one rotating weekend shift. The available shifts are as follows:

• Morning Shift: 0500-1600 (Sunday through Wednesday)
• Evening Shift: 1200-2200 (Wednesday through Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday)
• Day Shift: 1000-1800 (Monday through Friday with rotating weekends)
