Restoration Team Lead Technician

Working Team LeadRestoration 1 of Chicago Southland is a family-owned restoration company looking for a working Team Lead—someone who can lead from the front, not from the sidelines. This is not an entry-level role. We need a hands-on leader who knows mitigation work, understands standards, and can keep jobs moving while taking care of customers and the crew.What You'll DoLead mitigation jobs (water, fire, mold, odor) from setup to dry-outDirect and support technicians on siteCommunicate clearly with homeowners, adjusters, and property managersSet and monitor equipment properly (air movers, dehus, containment, etc.)Ensure work is completed to IICRC standards and company expectationsMaintain job documentation (photos, notes, moisture readings)Keep the truck, equipment, and job sites clean and professionalWhat We're Looking For2+ years restoration/mitigation experience (preferred)Prior leadership or lead-tech experience preferredStrong understanding of water mitigation processes and dry-out principlesIICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD/FSRT/MRST a plus—or willingness to earn)Valid driver's license & clean driving recordCalm under pressure, professional with customers, firm but fair with crewSomeone who takes ownership and finishes what they startWhat You GetCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)Overtime opportunitiesPaid training and certification supportGrowth path into senior leadership as the company expandsA team that treats people like adults—not numbersWhy Restoration 1 of Chicago Southland We're small on purpose and growing on purpose.
