Description: RN ICU needed with the following certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH. Candidate should possess a valid RN license. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend and as needed. On-call responsibilities may apply as needed. The expectation is for all travel nurses to be flexible with floating to different units. Travel nurses can expect a notice of 1.5 hours prior to shift start time in most cases. There is a shuttle provided if floating is requested. The unit provides interdisciplinary support with various specialists. Patient age groups served are adults with a daily census of 16-20. Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, acute kidney injury, respiratory failure, and heart failure. Experience with specific procedures and equipment is required. Skills needed include management of arterial lines, ventilators, and administering emergency medications. Nurses will be responsible for providing care to patients with complex health needs. Floating to other units may occur based on the unit's needs and census. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
