DAIRY FARM MANAGER-FOLLETT, TX

Braum’s Dairy in Follett, Texas is looking to hire an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to manage and care for Braum’s A2 Dairy. The farm has been in operation for more than 80 years and milks approximately 4,500 cows, providing milk to 330 ice cream and dairy stores. The role involves overseeing dairy herd health, feeding, animal care, equipment maintenance, and other animal husbandry duties in close collaboration with the owners and management team. Responsibilities Lead a well-established dairy operation with a direct impact on product quality and business performance Help shape the future of a respected, multi-generational agricultural business Lead all aspects of herd health, including daily observation, diagnosis, treatment decisions, and preventative care Manage reproduction performance through breeding strategy and AI coordination Ensure exceptional calf care and development into the milking herd Maintain accurate herd records and use data to drive operational decisions Drive efficiency in labor utilization, feed management, and herd productivity Monitor key performance indicators: Milk production Reproduction performance Somatic cell count and milk quality Feed efficiency Maintain compliance with all animal welfare, environmental, and workplace safety requirements Ensure audit readiness and adherence to farm standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve performance, efficiency, and team effectiveness Qualifications Must have experience managing a successful dairy with a track record of producing high quality milk Trained in artificial insemination techniques Direct experience managing herd health, reproduction, milk production, and livestock performance Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills Excellent communication skills to maximize safety, quality and production Valid driver’s license Benefits Pay range $110,000–$130,000, competitive based on experience Housing with utilities included Relocation allowance if needed Company truck for transportation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Short‑term disability insurance Paid vacations and holidays Braum’s is an equal opportunity employer.
