Global Commodity Manager

Job TitleDevelops, implements, and maintains a commodity inventory strategy that supports a company's supply chain. Evaluates market conditions in order to maintain inventory levels and control costs. Evaluates and recommends vendors. Manages ongoing relationships with suppliers.Position ResponsibilitiesDevelop a commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilitiesBe responsible for AVL for commodity managing supplier selection, qualification and price negotiationManage all aspects of new supplier bring-up including database management in an ERP systemsEnsure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technologyWork closely with Lead Commodity Manager to collaborate with Engineering to influence technical design decisions to meet expectations, technical capabilities, and business objectivesInterface with Planning and Program Management to assess current and future sourcing requirementsHelp drive quarterly executive business reviews of strategic sourcing plan that defines, among other things, market and business analysis, product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectivesMaintain expertise/knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures, technical improvements and competitive landscapeTravel periodically to supplier's manufacturing sitesSupport our OEM supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, lead-time reductions and favorable payment terms.Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities RequiredAbility to manage cross functional teamsKnowledge of raw materials – resins, metals (tooling) and cost drivers associated with themProject or Program management skillsPosition QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related fieldExperience:5+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment5+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain managementGlobal supply chain experienceWork Environment and Physical Requirements:Office EnvironmentAbility to sit for long periods of timeVision abilities required to validate and enter data on computerDisclaimer : This list does not represent all physical demands. Eligibility for all benefit programs is defined by the applicable plan document or employee handbook.Compensation Range$92,324.28 - $126,945.32The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
