Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with general surgery experience and high proficiency in ortho, total joints, and neuro for an Operating Room position.

Details

• Operating Room setting supporting a surgery department specializing in endocrine, breast, oncologic, gastrointestinal, colon and rectal (open and laparoscopic), and hepatobiliary procedures
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-5:30 PM
• On-call requirements apply
• Weekend work may be required based on holiday coverage needs
• Compact license accepted

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current CST experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• High proficiency in ortho, total joints, and neuro required
• Scrubbing experience required in General, Ortho, Neuro, and Endo specialties
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• New Hampshire Medical Technician Registration required (can pend upon offer)
• License required if applicable
• Must have own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

• Function primarily in a scrubbing capacity as part of the surgical team, with potential to assist in circulating duties
• Maintain aseptic technique and a quiet environment in the OR suite
• Prepare the OR suite and use and maintain specialized equipment and supplies for specific surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required, with ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations
• Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all RTO must be submitted prior to offer
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Travelers must be willing to take call to be considered for this assignment
