Junior level land position requiring an intermediate knowledge of negotiation and more advanced land management principles along with strong communication and organizational skills. Will be required to execute increasing duties under more limited direct supervision of a senior level Landman or Manager related to Company objectives.Essential Roles & ResponsibilitiesSecure the necessary title clearance, contracts, permits, and approvals for the drilling and production of oil and gasCoordinate operational activities with Landowners and third partiesAssist in obtaining and evaluating title and contracts, and assist in the negotiation, leasing and purchase of real propertyHelp conduct due diligence in the acquisition and divestiture of assetsPrepare initial drafts of contracts and memos under direct supervisionAssemble and present PowerPoint to peers and/or management with support from more senior staffCoordination and research for regulatory and governmental filings, applications, and hearings; testify at hearings as neededConduct business with the highest ethical standards; demonstrate decision-making skills that ensure the safety of all persons associated with SM facilitiesVarious other duties as assigned by the senior Landman or ManagerComputer/Software ApplicationsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as company specific computer software and applications, including but not limited to QLS, SAP and Aucerna Execute software. Proficient in land research resources such as Texas File, County Government Records, and Enverus applications.Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & SkillsCompetent in contract provisions and leasing titles with intermediate knowledge of land management principals.
