Overview First Student is hiring Full‑Time School Van Drivers in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to safely transport students and passengers to and from appointments, errands, and other destinations. Responsibilities Transport community members and neighbors safely to and from appointments, errands, and other destinations. Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist passengers with mobility aids. Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits). Report mechanical issues promptly and maintain the vehicle clean and sanitary. Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards. Communicate with passengers, staff, and dispatch regarding behavior or delays. Demonstrate leadership and customer service skills. Qualifications At least 21 years old. Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of experience. Chauffeur license (guidance provided). Flexible full‑ or part‑time schedule. Strong customer‑service orientation. Ability to pass DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee. Benefits Hourly rate of $17.50 (training rate $17.50). Full‑time and part‑time opportunities.
