They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They focus on uncovering customer needs, educating, demonstrating, and recommending device and service solutions. This role is a learning role, where new associates work with their team to proactively build skills in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training. Job Responsibilities Builds proficiency related to serving and selling to customers while providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by: Helping customers pick up right where they left off in their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store Exploring individual needs and providing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology in-store Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare-bones device and service plan, including unique accessories and IoT devices Approaching service and sales with composure, integrity, and compassion Becomes skilled with and consistently uses digital tools in interactions and onboarding to actively demonstrate: How our expanding coverage stacks up in the customer’s neighborhood, providing a fast LTE network Why T-Mobile plans and services help customers stay connected and go further Completes training on in-store experience, skills, processes, and knowledge of systems Uses downtime to learn about innovations in wireless and technology Establishes relationships with T-Mobile employees across channels to: Own the customer experience and resolve issues for a seamless experience Identify and hand off small business leads Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment Education and Work Experience High School Diploma/GED (Required) 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Passionate customer advocate with the ability to connect and have fun while helping customers (Required) Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required) Willingness to collaborate with peers and store leaders, share ideas, and resolve customer issues (Required) Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required) Licenses and Certifications At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Travel Travel Required (Yes/No): No DOT Regulated DOT Regulated Position (Yes/No): No Safety Sensitive Position (Yes/No): No Hourly Base Pay: $17.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days of employment, Mobile Associates receive on-the-job training and are eligible for hourly training pay. After promotion to Mobile Expert, annual incentives apply (target $18,000/year; actual incentives vary). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. All employees are eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
