Senior Cost Accountant

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP. Reconcile and manage trading P&L, inventory accounting, and mark-to-market valuations. Ensure accurate accounting for derivatives and hedging activities, analyzing related exposures. Perform cost accounting analysis for direct and indirect costs related to commodities and trading operations. Collaborate with front-, middle-, and back-office teams to ensure correct trade capture and valuation. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and transparency. Manage intercompany transactions and global entity consolidations. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Monitor and enhance internal controls, contributing to process improvement initiatives. Utilize NetSuite ERP for financial reporting, consolidations, and operational accounting. Ensure the confidentiality of financial data and safeguard company assets and records. Contribute to cross-functional projects and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Deep understanding of: Derivatives and hedging accounting Trading inventory and mark-to-market accounting Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is required. Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skilled collaborator with a proven ability to work in cross-functional environments. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
