\nAre you an experienced Industrial Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer looking for a contract where you can make an immediate impact?
\n \nWe’re supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer in the Seattle area that is investing heavily in its manufacturing capability, and we’re looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract .
\n \nYou'll work within a complex aerospace manufacturing environment, helping improve how new and existing products move through production - from manufacturing readiness and process planning through to capacity, flow, cycle-time and production optimization .
\n \nWhat you'll be working on
\n- \n
- Supporting the industrialization and production readiness of aerospace products \n
- Developing and improving manufacturing processes, routings and operation sequences \n
- Conducting time studies, cycle-time analysis and labor modelling \n
- Identifying production constraints and developing capacity and capability plans \n
- Improving factory layouts, material flow, workstation design and line balancing \n
- Working with Engineering and Manufacturing teams on DFM/DFA and production planning \n
- Supporting the introduction of new tooling, equipment, automation and manufacturing technology \n
- Applying Lean, Kaizen and continuous-improvement methodologies \n
- Using production data to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste and increase throughput \n
- Working cross-functionally across Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain \n
What we're looking for
\nYou'll ideally have strong experience within aerospace, space, defense or another complex advanced-manufacturing environment , with a background covering areas such as:
\nIndustrial Engineering | Manufacturing Engineering | Industrialization | NPI | Capacity Planning | Time Studies | Line Balancing | Process Flow | Cycle-Time Reduction | DFM/DFA | Lean Manufacturing | Manufacturing Readiness
\n \nExperience within composites manufacturing would be particularly valuable, although strong industrial engineering experience from a similarly complex aerospace manufacturing environment is also of interest.
\n \nWhy consider it?
\nThis isn't a contract where you'll simply maintain existing processes.
\nYou'll be joining a large, technically complex aerospace manufacturing operation with the opportunity to work on real production challenges, manufacturing scale-up and industrialization projects , while having the freedom to make a measurable impact quickly.
