About the Position

Candidates must have a current state nursing license and certifications. This position primarily involves caring for adult surgical patients, with some pediatric patient beds. Travel nurses may be required to float to other units. The position requires working every other weekend and holidays. Nurses will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. They will administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures. Documentation will be completed according to standards of care. Nurses will develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care based on individual patient needs. Participation in performance improvement activities is expected. Clinical expertise may be provided to other units in support of the patient's longitudinal care plan. Critical thinking skills are essential for ensuring patient safety and enhancing the patient experience. Concerns should be escalated through the appropriate chain of command. Holiday coverage is required.
