Job Description & Summary The Opportunity As a Management Consulting - Sector Operations - Financial Services Intern, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will support teams and participate in projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs across various business operations. Within our Advisory practice, you will gain exposure to a wide range of industries, including banking, insurance, and asset management, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the financial services sector. As an Intern, you will focus on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will support teams by performing basic tasks and conducting research, while observing professional work environments. This role emphasizes the importance of taking both observational and participatory roles on teams, allowing you to develop your personal brand and contribute to the team's success. In this role, you will have the opportunity to apply a learning mindset and take ownership of your development. You will be encouraged to ask questions, actively listen, and express ideas clearly. By gathering information from various sources, you will analyze facts and discern patterns, contributing to the optimization and execution support of business processes. Responsibilities - Supporting teams in delivering operational consulting services to financial services clients - Participating in projects aimed at enhancing business performance and operational efficiency - Assisting in the analysis of business data to provide insights for decision-making - Engaging in the development and implementation of change management strategies - Contributing to the optimization of business processes and workflows - Collaborating with team members to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement - Observing and learning from experienced consultants to gain exposure to industry practices - Applying analytical skills to evaluate business performance metrics and suggest improvements - Gathering and organizing information to support client engagements and project deliverables - Developing a foundational understanding of supply chain and core business operations within the financial services sector What You Must Have - Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree - Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year What Sets You Apart - Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Communications, Operations Mangement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Information System, Managment Information Systems, Data Processing, Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, International Business - Preferred cumulative GPA: 3.3 - Preferred major GPA: 3.3 - Leveraging AI to create efficiencies, innovate ways of working and deliver distinctive outcomes - Demonstrating enthusiasm for learning and applying business data analytics - Supporting teams in operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs - Participating in projects that involve business transformation and change management - Observing and learning from experienced professionals in financial services operations
