Your OpportunityStantec is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our North Central Community Development team.Your Key ResponsibilitiesStormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls.Provide technical guidance to the Land Development teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis.Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies.Assist in plan development and cost estimation.Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones.Participate in field work as needed.Your Capabilities and CredentialsRequired:Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, or similar. Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D.Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam.Preferred:Effective communication and critical thinking skills.Commitment to client satisfaction, as well as team and personal growth.Professional, ethical, positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to challenges.Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines, work independently, think clearly, have organized thoughts, and draw logical conclusions.Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil 3D.Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems software.Education and ExperienceBachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university.Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.About StantecStantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
