Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.Responsibilities:Assists patients in getting ready/changing for their procedureProvides assistance to Technicians with treatment proceduresAssist and start IVs as directedHelps with patient flow in/out of roomCleans patient care areas and prepares rooms before and after patientsMaintains a clean, organized, and therapeutic patient environment at all timesAnswers phone and directs calls as appropriateMaintains patient confidentiality, including protection of the medical record, order communication data and all other verbal and written patient informationAssists with the transfer process of patients within the hospital and to external facilitiesParticipates in departmental cleaning activities as assignedFollows appropriate cleaning standards including sanitation standardsProvides for appropriate transporting and re-stocking of supplies and other items related to department and patient care needsRequirements:Medical certification required: EMT or equivalent to have the knowledge and skill to start IVsMinimum 2 years healthcare experienceBLS required or willing to obtain upon hire - Inhouse education availableMust be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systemsSchedule:60 hr per pay periodMon-Fri; 6 hr day shiftsThe schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the departmentSpencer Hospital offers competitive wages, affordable insurance, IPERS retirement, in-house education, paid time off, family gym membership and so much more!Please contact Spencer Hospital Human Resources for any questions at View phone number on click.appcast.io or email View email address on click.appcast.io more about Spencer Hospital: spencerhospital.org #J-18808-Ljbffr
