Diesel Technician

Diesel Technician/MechanicCompletes diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under limited supervision. We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Avondale, AZ. We offer sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!Will make an impact in the following ways:Complete repairs on engine products in a service shopPerform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic toolsMaintain detailed records of serviced vehiclesAdhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policiesOngoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins productsMaintain own toolsIn order to be successful in this role you will need the following:Completes complex internal engine repairsPerforms engine overhauls unassistedDetailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and componentsProficient experience with engine diagnostic softwareAdditional responsibilities unique to this position:The regular schedule for this position will be 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Mon-Fri. This schedule is subject to change based on business needs.This position requires a technical/trade school degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience.The level for this position will be based on the candidate's qualifications and skill set. Qualifications for different technician levels:Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.DOT- A current valid license is required for this role- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred) Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution Locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsCompensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
