About the Role

FuzeHR Solutions is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and servicing of fire extinguishers and related fire safety equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This position plays a vital role in protecting lives and property by ensuring all equipment is fully operational and code compliant while delivering exceptional customer service. Payrate Based on Experience $30-$50/hr

Job Duties

• Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and servicing of fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA standards and local regulations.
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble fire extinguishers to ensure proper functionality and reliability.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and replace defective components including valves, hoses, nozzles, gauges, and seals.
• Recharge and pressurize fire extinguishers using approved extinguishing agents and procedures.
• Install and maintain fire extinguisher cabinets, brackets, signage, and related fire safety equipment.
• Educate customers on proper fire extinguisher usage, maintenance practices, and fire safety procedures.
• Respond to service requests and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Accurately document inspections, repairs, service activity, and customer interactions using the Service Trade platform or related software.
• Assist with inventory management, ensuring adequate stock levels of extinguishers, parts, and service materials.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators and team members to optimize scheduling, service routes, and work order completion.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and safe working condition.
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and customer site requirements at all times.

Qualifications/Job Details

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in fire protection or a related field is preferred.
• Certification as a Fire Extinguisher Technician (NFPA 10, NAFED, or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience servicing, inspecting, or repairing fire extinguishers is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in industrial, commercial, and outdoor environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tight or confined spaces for extended periods.
• Comfortable working at heights when required.
