We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Laundry Production Manager who is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily laundry operations for an assigned laundry facility to ensure efficient production, high-quality service, and timely order fulfillment. This role manages production staff (personnel and rehabilitation service activities), maintains equipment, inventory, and direct exchange processes, enforces safety and quality standards, and works to maximize productivity while controlling costs, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, corporate procedures, and all other regulations. Requirement Applicants must possess a valid REAL ID compliant driver's license or identification card, or be able to obtain one before employment, as it is required for access to secure military installations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of this job that an individual must be able to perform with or without a reasonable accommodation: Plan, organize, and supervise daily laundry production operations to ensure efficient workflow, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with contract requirements. Collaborate with federal contracts, logistics, facilities management, rehabilitation services, and other departments to support seamless operations and service delivery. Develop and maintain systems for managing resources, inventory, finished goods, delivery processes, quality control, and accurate data entry. Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with Eggleston policies, contract requirements, OSHA, HLAC, DMHMRSAS, CARF, DARS, and applicable regulations. Supervise, train, evaluate, and develop direct reports and floor supervisors, including implementing timely corrective action plans when needed. Promote a safe work environment by training staff on equipment use, preventive maintenance, cleaning, safety checks, bloodborne pathogen standards, infection control, and incident reporting. Investigate and resolve production issues, equipment failures, concerns, and operational barriers. Maintain quality standards for washing, drying, finishing, folding, packaging, inbound shipments, and outbound shipments. Monitor production metrics, employee performance, staffing levels, schedules, time studies, quotas, and process improvements to increase efficiency and control costs. Prepare production reports and maintain accurate operational records. Attend required training, support team-based services, and comply with safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE The following qualifications represent the training, education, certifications, licensures, and/or work experience required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities successfully: Proven experience in production services in a commercial laundry, hospitality, manufacturing, or production environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines. Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management preferred (or equivalent work experience). Capable of meeting standards set for the quality and timeliness of work, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships. Experience training and working with people with disabilities. Knowledge of commercial laundry service best practices, and regulatory requirements such as HLAC and OSHA. Lean manufacturing, efficient production, effective quality control, or continuous improvement experience. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and production management software. Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and team management skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical demands: Performing the duties of this job requires near visual acuity, the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds, and gross manipulation. Additionally, the employee: Must be free of tuberculosis in a communicable form. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to complete tasks that require a full range of motion to include pushing/pulling, crouching, stooping, or reaching at/below shoulder level and overhead. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an office or indoor setting, or externally in community settings. Indoor environmental conditions will vary according to the weather conditions prevalent at the time, and exposure to inclement weather and extreme temperature variations can be expected when in community settings. The noise level in the work environment will vary.
