Nuclear Medicine Technologist

The role involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine studies and assisting with therapeutic administrations using radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment, adhering to safety regulations and department protocols. Key Responsibilities Include Reviewing orders, patient history, and supporting data for medical necessity. Acquiring and processing patient exams with Nuc Med and PET/CT equipment, ensuring image quality and accuracy. Administering IV radiopharmaceuticals, performing veni-puncture, and screening patients for pregnancy. Transferring and verifying image data in PACS and utilizing RIS for scheduling, billing, and coding. Maintaining equipment and work environment, recognizing malfunctions, and ensuring safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Assisting in training students and new staff, and performing cross-modality duties when needed. Qualifications Include College diploma or completion certificate in radiologic technology. Licensed Radiologic Technologist (Radiography). CNMT certification within 1 year, with registration in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days. Strong technical skills, positive attitude, and ability to multitask independently.
