Mechanical AssemblerMercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting-edge technology to mission-critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Mechanical Assembler will perform a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies. We're aiming for an October hiring timeline.Job Responsibilities:Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.Demonstrate professionalism, leadership and initiatives daily.Perform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet/exceed IPC standards.Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.Experience working with Microsoft products.Experience to train new team members.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Ability to obtain security clearanceTypically requires a minimum of 2-3+ years of mechanical assembly experienceKnowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) proceduresMust have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterityMust be detail oriented and able to multitaskMust be able to work a flexible schedule to meet production and customer needs, which includes overtime (based on business needs)IPC -610/620 and/or JSTD 001 certifications or ability to obtainMust be comfortable with working under a microscopePreferred Qualifications:Electronics assembly and inspection experienceKnowledgeable of 5S/6S and basics on lean manufacturing principlesSoldering under microscopeExperience with setting up and training a team from scratch or willingness to learn this down the roadAssociate degree in computer technology or related field preferredPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
