For more information, visit a PRN Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you will provide remote support to client employees through occupational health hotline services and case management activities.This role requires availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Eastern Time, as needed to support operational and staffing requirements. Candidates must hold an active Compact RN License and be able to practice in accordance with applicable state regulations.In this position, you will assist employees by providing telephonic occupational health support, triaging concerns, managing cases, coordinating care, and ensuring appropriate follow-up. You'll have the opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise, support employees across multiple locations, and make a meaningful impact on employee health and wellness from a remote setting.What You'll DoEnsures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practiceDelivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and clientImplements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workersPerforms and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practiceMaintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control proceduresMaintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date recordsEducates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up careCollaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury preventionAssists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiativesPerforms other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringCertificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferredCurrently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice requiredCertification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sitesCurrent certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of servicesAt least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinicExperience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work examsWork-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.For individuals living in Washington or Colorado: Premise employees accrue paid sick leave at a rate of 0.03333 hours per hour worked.
