Utility Worker / Service Employee Transdev in Sandusky, OH is hiring a Utility Worker / Service Employee to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. Candidates should be customer‑service oriented and dedicated to safety. Benefits Competitive hourly wage: $18.00–$19.00 per hour Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating) Standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability Key Responsibilities Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles— interior and exterior Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles Fuel buses, replenish fluids, and log all fluid usage Download drive‑camera footage, probe fare boxes Perform light maintenance in shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities Report maintenance issues to supervisor Other duties as required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license for at least three (3) years Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam; DOT regulations prohibit Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity; 100% of the job is performed outdoors, often alone and in remote locations Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk over long distances and on sloped or uneven surfaces Push or pull objects up to 50 pounds; lift objects up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to reach equipment stored at ground level Work in heavy traffic areas and tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities Drug-Free Workplace Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future if based in the U.S. Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen Transdev complies with federal and state disability laws and provides reasonable accommodations for applicants and candidates with disabilities.
