Apolonia Restaurant, Chef Stephen Gillanders' second concept in the South Loop and one of Chicago's most acclaimed restaurant openings of 2021, is hiring a Server Assistant to join its FOH team! The 120-seater is at 2201 S. Michigan Avenue, near McCormick Place and Wintrust Arena. It's on the ground floor of a tri-branded Hilton Hotel that opened in 2018.

The Server Assistant's priorities and responsibilities are to exceed our guest's expectations by providing them with the highest level of professional, consistent, and courteous service. Primary duties include:

• Uphold the Apolonia Restaurant values and mission
• Greet guests with a genuine, welcoming demeanor
• Food Run When Necessary
• Expedite When Necessary
• Communicate with Manager(s), kitchen staff, and bartenders
• Assist server and bar team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
• Provide exemplary service to guests at all times
• Treat every guest, employee, and vendor with respect
• Report to work timely, presentable, and in proper uniform
• Promote teamwork within the restaurant, creating a positive work environment
• Properly execute all necessary steps of service
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant at all times
• Perform other job related activities as required or assigned by the manager
• Respond positively to guest's requests with a sense of urgency
• Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and motivation
• Keep up with all food and beverage menu changes for customer verbiage

• Server experience preferred but not necessary - we are willing to train the right person!
• Cross-trained in/open to multiple FOH roles preferred but not necessary

Compensation: Hourly ($12.96) plus tips
