Safety Coordinator

Aluminum Dynamics Site EHS professional responsible for instilling a superior safety culture through construction for employees and contractors, supporting site TCOS initiatives, and maintaining Safety and Environmental compliances. Responsibilities Attend supervisor and crew meetings, support and occasionally lead toolbox talks and monthly safety training. Ensure regular (daily) visibility with employees in their department and act as a resource to offer guidance for performing tasks safely. Build training with focus on TCOS concepts. Promote TCOS concepts & drive initiatives outlined in the division safety plan. Champion improved safety practices with Sinton Employees. Assist in the development and implementation of safety controls. Coordinate, conduct, and track monthly safety training/events. Participation in New Hire orientation and training. Safety alert distribution and preparation. Perform safety audits and walk-throughs and communicate the results. JSA, LOTOTO, SOP, and Risk Assessment development and revisions. Incident investigation, review, and follow-up. Required Excellent computer skills, preferably in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to skillfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects. Highly effective communication skills. Travel requirements - intercompany, education, & benchmarking. Background in Environmental Compliance. Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in safety or a safety-related field and/or 3 years of experience in a safety-related field. Construction Safety Experience.
