Principal Ap/Cp General Surgical Pathologist W/Hematopathology Sign-Out Greater Dallas, TX Area
AmeriPath is a leading national provider of anatomic pathology, molecular diagnostic and healthcare information services for the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of cancer and other medical conditions. AmeriPath has over 400 highly trained, board-certified pathologists and Ph.D. level scientists providing services to physicians, hospitals, clinical laboratories, and ambulatory surgery centers across the United States.
Responsibilities
AmeriPath North Texas based in Lewisville, TX is seeking a laboratory-based Principal AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist with board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology to join their team of 19 pathologists. The pathologist will handle an interesting variety of cases including Hematopathology, Women's Health (GYN) including GYN Cytology, GU, Breast, Head and Neck (ENT) pathology, and a smaller volume of GI biopsies.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree plus accredited pathology residency
- Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
- Board certified in hematopathology
- 5+ years post residency experience desired
- Valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX or be eligible to obtain licensure
- Active privileges in facility where any inpatient work is interpreted
- Strong customer focus and understanding of laboratory operations
- Ability to communicate with decision makers in the laboratory and Company
