Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months minimum in Med Surg/Telemetry required License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - 24 months of current Med Surg/Medical Surgical/Med Surg Tele experience - EPIC EMR experience - Ability to float across all campuses - Acceptance of first-time travelers Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Med Surg and Telemetry. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to various patient types, including overflow from post-operative surgical hips and knees. Patient ratios are 4-5 patients per nurse. The unit has a total of 24 beds. Telemetry monitoring is done remotely. Scrubs must be navy blue, solid colors. The schedule includes every third weekend and holidays as needed. No blocked shifts are available. This role is ideal for those looking to extend beyond the initial 13-week contract. The nurse will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to different units and patient needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates should be prepared to provide a work history or resume that showcases relevant experience in the required specialty. References from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager must be available for verification.
