Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult med-surg patients, with telemetry as needed
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and implement care plans per physician orders
• Document in the electronic health record; coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor patient status, respond to alarms, and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and arrange follow-up as indicated
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit policies; collaborate on care transitions
• Preferred experience with orthopedic, cardiac, pediatric, telemetry patients and Epic electronic health record

Requirements

• Availability for 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage as part of the assignment
• Ability to work effectively in a rural hospital setting
• Med Surg and telemetry experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Willingness to participate in credentialing and orientation processes for the assignment
