As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality medical care, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and managing acute and chronic conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create meaningful outcomes for patients and families. Key Responsibilities Medication Management : Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and order diagnostic tests as needed. Patient Education : Explain medication benefits, risks, and alternatives to patients and their families. Health Assessments : Conduct thorough evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests to develop individualized care plans. Integrated Care : Collaborate with mental health professionals and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient support. Care Plan Development : Create and adjust treatment plans to align with patient needs and progress. Health Promotion : Provide counseling and education on wellness, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications. Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records in compliance with Chrysalis Health policies. Adhere to state and federal regulations, ensuring all practices meet legal and ethical standards. Respond to urgent situations with professionalism and compassion. Participate in organizational initiatives, including emergency response assignments (e.g., hurricanes, pandemics). Qualifications/Requirements Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution. Licensure: Current Florida PMHNP license. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP with children and adolescents. Knowledge of psychiatric principles and medication management best practices. Valid Medicaid Provider Number and appropriate malpractice insurance. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms. Strong knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention. Bilingual skills are a plus.
