Cost Accounting Manager

Our client is an organization in the Dodge County area looking for a Cost Accounting Manager . Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, manufacturing industry experience and highly organized with strong analytic skills. The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, cost analysis, and variance reporting. Maintain and improve the accuracy of product costing, bills of materials (BOMs), labor routings, and overhead allocations. Analyze manufacturing variances including labor, material, overhead, scrap, and production efficiencies, providing actionable recommendations to leadership. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to inventory and cost accounting. Ensure accurate inventory accounting, reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes. Partner with operations and production teams to understand manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Develop and maintain standard cost systems and assist in annual standard cost updates. Prepare financial reports, margin analyses, and KPIs to support business planning and operational performance. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies. Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, systems, and reporting tools to improve efficiency and scalability. Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams on new products, pricing, and operational initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members as applicable. Ad hoc projects as needed. The Cost Accounting Manager will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
