Product Designer

Responsibilities Design mechanical components and assemblies based on project requirements and selected parts. Create detailed manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, materials, and assembly instructions using SolidWorks CAD software. Capture and interpret design requirements from stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation. Collaborate with teams on designing and component selection, ensuring designs meet functional, cost, and manufacturability criteria. Perform design reviews, iterations, and validations to optimize for performance and production. Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2–3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical design and drafting. Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and material selection. Ability to translate requirements into precise engineering drawings. Proactive mindset suitable for a startup's agile workflow. Experience in product development cycles from concept to production. Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for design validation.
