Job Description Design, deploy, and maintain Linux servers, with a focus on RHEL and Ubuntu distributions. Implement and manage security controls such as SELinux, FIPS mode, firewalls, and access policies. Associate's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two or more years of relevant experience. Eligible for DOD Secret Clearance - Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four or more years of relevant experience. Extensive experience supporting RHEL and Ubuntu systems with secure protocols like FIPS, and SELinux. Demonstrated experience hardening Linux systems to STIG, NIST 800-171, and CMMC Level 2 standards. Hands-on experience using Ansible, GitLab, and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling to manage Linux systems. Strong background in system administration, patch management, and backup/recovery. Experience mentoring junior administrators. Strong general IT foundation, including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), troubleshooting methodology, and familiarity with ITIL-based practices such as incident, problem, and change management. Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, Security+). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
