Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Gallatin, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule / Shift: Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night Shift) Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekend Hours: Every Other / As Needed

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide exemplary care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical Surgical setting. This role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer treatments and therapies as prescribed while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in patient education and provide support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a Medical Surgical setting is required; 2+ years preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH.
