Farm Operator/Mechanic

Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and equipment, including tractors and irrigation systems.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs effectively.
Conduct inspections to identify issues with machinery and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Assist in the operation of heavy equipment as needed for various tasks around the farm.
Provide animal care and handling as required, ensuring the well-being of livestock.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed on all equipment.
Qualifications
Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership abilities within a team setting.
Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and animal care is a plus.
Experience operating forklifts and heavy machinery is essential.
Knowledge of horticulture, greenhouse operations, and growing techniques is beneficial.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
Proficiency in basic math skills for measuring and calculating necessary specifications during repairs.
