Crownpoint Health Care FacilityJunction Rd 371 Rt 9, Crownpoint, NM 87313 The Crownpoint Health Care Facility serves a population of 20,000 Navajo people. The staff consists of primary care physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, at a 32-bed hospital. The daily inpatient load is nine; daily outpatient visits are 151; annual OB cases are 275; and annual ER cases number about 5,500. This facility is one of the primary providers of the inpatient, ambulatory care, preventive and community health, and environmental health services for members of the Navajo Nation and the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe.RequirementsDocumenting observations, assessments, and changes in patient's conditionCollaborating with healthcare team members and other interdisciplinary teams to facilitate positive patient care outcomesProviding a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problemsAccountable for meeting and maintaining the qualification standards and functional statements of the jobDemonstrates organizational skills which enable completion of work in a timely manner with demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in a patient-centered program, andEstablishes effective communication with patients, families, visitors and members of the interdisciplinary team.QualificationsMust have a degree/diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.Must have thirty-six (36) months of nursing experience, with a minimum of twelve months (12) in the specialty required.Shall possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, throughout the term of this contract.It is mandatory that the applicant possesses current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
