Schedule: 36 Hours per week 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) (OT billed after 48 on 4x12) + Nights, weekdays, EOW, Float, Holidays within contract
Contract Length: 6 Weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler friendly – travel reimbursement available

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 3 years years of experience in ICU (will consider strong candidates without 3 years)

• Qualified applicants MUST have strong neuro experience (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke), vents, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, dysrhythmia and emergency management; EPIC proficiency (no exceptions); VA or Compact license in hand at time of submittal (no exceptions); BLS and ACLS required via American Heart Association; NIHSS required

• • Preferred: travel experience

• Valid RN license

• Be willing to obtain State licensure

Responsibilities: As a healthcare professional in a Clinical facility...

• Provide ICU nursing care for neurosurgical and post-stroke patients, including management of respiratory failure, post-surgical trauma, sepsis/MODS, and renal failure (Ratios 1:2–3)

• Monitor patients on telemetry and perform IV drip titration while supporting ventilation needs and conscious sedation, including dysrhythmia and emergency management

• Perform neuro-focused assessments and ensure NIHSS/critical stroke workflows are followed while documenting in EPIC and coordinating float assignments to Stepdown and possible ED/MedSurg for ICU holds
