Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.Project Overview:The selected candidate will initially be placed on one of our four Liquefied Natural Gas Plant Projects in the US Gulf Coast Region for our Energy Global Business Unit, but we may also require the selected candidate to have future mobility to one of our other Global Business Units in a different location. The ideal candidate will have market sector/ sub sector construction industry experience inenergy(liquefied natural gas),manufacturing and technology(semiconductor, chemical, pharmaceutical, data centers, fire power generation),infrastructure(aviation, rail, roads/bridges), mining and minerals(water treatment plant, mineral extraction, metal refining), &nuclear, security, and environmental(nuclear power epc, power distribution, combined cycle, defense and space, environmental cleanup). As needs arise in our growing business, there will be expectation for the candidate to be fully mobile.Job Summary:In this role, you will provide project field engineering support with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover. Your work will contribute to ensuring field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. #LI-BH1Major Responsibilities:Work Planning & PackagingPrepares construction drawings and sketches.Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures. Material Management Initiates requisitions for field purchasesPrepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.QuantitiesVerifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required. Safety / Quality ControlEnsures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.Technical Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activitiesSystem Turnover Coordinator For Direct HireDevelops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.STR / Subcontract CoordinatorReviews and approves inspection test plansCoordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals Education and Experience Requirements:Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experienceRequired Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.Understanding of structural steel design and AISC code requirementsMust be computer-literate in word processing, spreadsheet and Bechtel database applications. Must be familiar with current industry quality standards.Knowledge of Project Technical Requests (PTR) for routing and resolving Requests for Information (RFIs), Field Change Documents (FCDs), and Non Conformance/Compliance Reports (NCRs) between project sites, contractors, clients, and home office. Knowledge of work packaging.Basic understanding of production management including scheduling.Sound communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Knowledge of cost management including estimating and forecast development.Direct hire construction experience Additional Information:Work requires the physical ability to conduct field inspections including but not limited to:extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces, and working in small or confined spaces.Some lifting may be required.Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).Total Rewards/Benefits:For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond!
