Production Planner

Develop and maintain production schedule for the manufacturing of tunable optical filter chips Monitor production progress and adjust production schedules to address priority changes, delays, and equipment downtime Manage wafer and chip inventory, conduct physical counts, and maintain accurate records of products Coordinate material requirements and procurements to ensure adequate production resources Inspect and prepare products for shipping to customers Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain production schedule for the manufacturing of tunable optical filter chips Monitor production progress and adjust production schedules to address priority changes, delays, and equipment downtime Manage wafer and chip inventory, conduct physical counts, and maintain accurate records of products Coordinate material requirements and procurements to ensure adequate production resources Inspect and prepare products for shipping to customers Education BS in industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field Experience & Skills 2+ years of experience in production planning or similar role Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle and SAP Proficiency in MS Excel or other data analysis tools Excellent organizational skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage production in a fast-paced environment Strong ability to coordinate with team members and ensure production efficiency and optimal resource utilization Working Conditions This position is on-site May require occasional off-site meetings or travel Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings. Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents. Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
